K/S Hospital Scene bc Into Darkness was so K/S TASTIC
It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....
No. Bones was here nagging at him.
"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."
He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...
And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."
"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

[But most are. He just won't talk about that unless directly asked.]
She is... but she's strong, Spock. She's not going to wilt. She let you go because you needed someone else. She just wanted to make sure I was going to treat you right. And I will... and I think I have so far... have I?
No... wait... don't go yet. Talk to me.
[Something in Spock's eyes. It wasn't right. He leaned his back against the railing, reaching forward to brush away some of Spock's hair where the ocean wind was blowing it out of place.]
What are you feeling?
no subject
His mother used to ask him that all the time. "What are you feeling Spock? ...help me understand."
Spock reached up and stilled Jim's hand... bringing it back down but holding on...]
Speaking about one's emotions is not unlike learning to speak a new language. You will have to be patient with me Jim.
[Spock rubbed his index and middle finger against Jim's...] But know that I am quite well.
no subject
[He watched, pleased as Spock only moved his hand instead of gently rejecting it. His voice was calm and kind, even melodic as he spoke again. Damn what happened. Was he in love or something?]
I can understand that, take your time...
[His eyes slowly closed at that sensation. Could it be that vulcan kisses were better than human ones? Maybe...]
That's good to know...
no subject
Toasts were said and sentiments were passed along... especially from Mister Scott and Doctor McCoy, who by that point had a 'few too many'.
Spock watched the entire exchange with a certain degree of fascination (humans were such emotional creatures), but at the same time he was lost in thought.
So much had changed for them... the entire bridge crew... in such a short amount of time. They would have to grow and adjust accordingly...
...but they were all strong and up to the task. They did indeed have the finest crew in Starfleet.
The Vulcan watched Jim with warmth and pride as he bid farewell to each of his guests, the Captain was very obviously well loved. Pavel hugged him, bouncing like a puppy while Hikaru shook his hands and clapped him on the back.
Spock felt a small bite of jealousy as Carol gave Jim a big hug and kiss on the cheek, but he tempered it quickly. Mister Scott seemed to speak in a language that the Vulcan could not comprehend, but Jim seemed to understand... interesting... he'll have to ask for a translation later. Doctor McCoy had this... odd look on his face. It must have been one of affection... perhaps it was this 'brotherly love' that Jim spoke of from time to time.
Nyota left as she came, with her head held high... and a warning glare for both of them.
Indeed... Captain Kirk was well loved. Especially by Spock.
Love...That was another matter that needed to be addressed. Jim had mentioned twice already that he was ready to 'marry' him. Vulcan marriage, or bonding, was a serious matter, and one that should not be considered lightly or fallen into too hastily.
On the other hand... if they were bonded... Jim would always know what Spock was thinking and feeling.
For now, the apartment was blissfully quiet, and Spock had moved to the sink... his hands covered in soap as he washed up the dishes.]
no subject
[It was a great night for Jim. He had a family, a close-knit one and he cherished each member. The night flew by, was it already time to go? No? Well past time to go? Wow...
He bade everyone goodbye, promised to see everyone soon, and closed their door. He sighed heavily and then stepped over to gather the beer bottles up. All of them in the trash... then he joined Spock at the sink, rolling his sleeves up. He took the clean dishes and dried them, then slowly... managed to get them put away. Ah...where did this one go? Or this one? Don't worry he'll figure it out, just give him a minute.]
no subject
At one point Spock silently opened the cupboard in front of him, indicating that the platter goes there without saying so...
Take the hint sweet heart.
Doing dishes has never been so amusing.
Eventually though, Spock was finished, and he drained the sink.]
Is there anything you require at this time Jim?
no subject
[He offered a single smile in thanks and set the dishes away without a word. It was new for him to be able to have such a comfortable yet communicative silence. He appreciated it. The whole chore done with a kind of pleasure. It hadn't even been work, really...]
Hm? Oh there's always plenty of things I want, but...what are you offering? [He was maybe playing coy. Maybe also setting the tone for taking you back to bed if you were of a mindset for that.]
no subject
You will have to be more specific... as I am offering many things.
no subject
no subject
Even though it was only the first day, he found it to be quite possible that he would never tire of Jim's kisses.
The Vulcan hummed quietly into Jim's mouth... fingers tracing the lines of Jim's face.]
no subject
[Spock's return was a bigger victory now that Jim knew how...economical he was with kissing Uhura. Perhaps Spock was in fact a very passionate lover but only for the right person. And he was damn pleased he happened to be that person. Spock would never want for love with him, physical or emotional.
His other hand swept across Spock's back and settled at his hip. He sighed as Spock touched him, letting the kiss flow into another and another... he wouldn't make any mention of sex this time. He felt a little bad about what had happened before with Spock's first time. Not that he regretted how he treated him but he'd unknowingly pushed the envelope on something Spock should have openly welcomed.
If that was to happen again tonight, it would have to come from Spock. For now he was satisfied with his kisses.]
no subject
Oh. We're they supposed to go somewhere comfortable? Was sex the naturally succession to this? Spock wasn't all that sure... He was waiting for Jim to make their decision.
Looks like we have a stalemate.]
no subject
[Well... maybe not quite a stalemate. He can move them a step over so Spock was pressed against the counter. His lips parted from Spock's and trailed up his jaw. His hands traversed his form, arms holding him close. This was an exploration for the senses. To feel Spock's body more than to see it.
And yes they were in a stalemate... but seriously. Your move, Vulcan.]
no subject
Granted, you didn't do this sort of thing on Vulcan either.
The Vulcan shuddered as he felt those fingers map his body.
It was that that changed his mind. Spock's hands grasped Jim's shoulders to pull him back slightly so he could speak.]
Ashaya... Jim...
I wish to speak with you... may we relocate to the balcony?
[That seemed an appropriate place... considering what had happened today.]
no subject
Yeah, sure.
[He stepped back, out of Spock's grasp to head outside into the now brightly lit view of the city.]
no subject
...he just hoped he didn't embarrass Jim.
Eventually, Spock went up to Jim and took hold of both his hands.... and sunk down to one knee.]
no subject
[He was taking the view in, very vulnerable to having his hands taken. Once Spock assumed that position Jim was both elated and... kind of braced. This was very traditional, old school even. Of course Spock would pick this route. And Jim didn't fault him in the least. It was very... him in a strange way. Jim had expected it to just be a simple conversation, maybe three lines of speech so his vulcan going the extra mile here... he appreciated it.
His heart began pounding both from excitement and anxiety. Was this going to be awkward? Was Spock going to recite poetry or something? Please no... he wasn't that kind of man. But he'd endure with a smile for his one and only.
Were they going too fast?... He thought they were but he didn't feel a need to slow down.]
Spock...I...
no subject
Even at night Jim shone like the sun. It was rather mesmerizing. The Vulcan swallowed...]
Jim... I realize that according to human standards this is going... rather quickly. However, I see no logical reason to slow down.
On Vulcan... being an unbonded male, I would have courted you... spent time with you to assess our mental compatibility. However, I find that this is not necessary... we already know each other. You are my T'hy'la... This is only logical.
[Spock paused for a moment...]
Jim.. be my bondmate.
[Not very poetic. But it will have to do.]
no subject
[Hey he didn't want sappy poetry anyway. That simple appeal worked fine with him. He was already nodding, a smile bloomed on his face. A genuine 1000 watt smile. He squeezed Spock's hands]
Of course I will, Spock.
no subject
Spock gave Jim a small half-smile in return... but then faltered a bit.]
May I stand now?
no subject
[He smirked, then tugged on Spock's hands, pulling him to his feet so he could wrap his arms around him and kiss him hard]
no subject
But... they still had so much to talk about.
The Vulcan attempted to speak between kisses....
...it was proving rather difficult.]
Jim.... Jim......
[Spock framed Jim's face with his hands and pulled back.] Jim... Do you know what a bondmate is to a Vulcan?
no subject
Huh?
[Why... why weren't you kissing him? Awww no more questions. More kissing, less talking gaaawd. He made a small whine but resigned to answering.]
Ah, being your spouse? We're going to get married? What's there to talk about it? We can plan it later just... [kiss him, please]
no subject
Ashaya... Vulcans do not have 'weddings'. We have bonding ceremonies.
Allow me to explain.
Bonding would require us to be mentally connected for the rest of our lives. There is no formal ceremony required as the intended pair can initiate the bonding themselves. The formal ceremony is for the family...among other things. [Spock felt it prudent not to explain Kal-if-fee... He didn't want to worry his T'hy'la with the possibility of someone calling for a fight to the death.]
We can bond... tonight if you wish. However, I wish to give you a human wedding because I have heard that it is very important...
Jim...
I can bond us tonight... or whenever you are ready.
[Spock stroked Jim's face lightly. He hoped that he wasn't overwhelming his T'hy'la...]
no subject
[Awww... no sex yet. Alright alright... He can listen a bit longer. Alright wait....wait.... huh? This raised some questions.]
But I'm not telepathic. Would that even work with me?
[he was sure it wouldn't... oh how he'd hate to disappoint Spock. But...seriously what did mental bonding imply?]
Even if that were something I could do... what do you mean being mentally connected? Like... a mind meld?
[The rest he'll think about later if he wants that tonight or not.]
