K/S Hospital Scene bc Into Darkness was so K/S TASTIC

It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....

No. Bones was here nagging at him.

"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."

He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...

And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."

"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

And to answer your question... [Spock seemed to struggle to find the right words...]... it would seem that death is a very enlightening experience for all of those involved Doctor.

[Vulcans were very reserved with their emotions, and who they share them with. Spock and Leonard aren't exactly friends.... so for Spock to say this much was almost pushing it.]

The Vulcan started to remove himself from the kitchen... wanting to give the other two some space. He'll just go over there...see? Busying himself with taking down some glasses and displaying various drinks for when the rest of their company arrives.]

[Spock was always aware that his company sometimes put a...strain on certain conversations. If he removed himself, then he knew that they could talk about whatever they wanted. He doesn't mind at all....]

These were questions he would ask Nyota if she was still inclined to be his friend.
At the knock, the Vulcan looked up from placing glasses on the table and went to the door.
Ah... their navigator and helmsman..]

Welcome Mister Chekov... Mister Sulu... Please, come in. [Again, the Vulcan gestured for them to come inside. Be it never said that he wasn't a gentlevulcan.]

[Spock held her gaze for a moment... then opened the door wider to let her in. He wished to speak with her... and there was a balcony that would serve as privacy from the rest of the crew..

...but he didn't know how to ask exactly.]

Nyota stepped in, eyes cast downwards. She had almost not come tonight. She didn't know that she could stand seeing Spock so quickly throwing her away. Any other man and she couldn't have been bothered but Spock... she loved him. She hated the choice he made but she could respect it. And this party was a show of strength. She wasn't going to run away and cry while Spock moved on, clearly almost overnight.

Quietly she handed Spock something, a hand-made collection of various teas from around Earth. She'd given them to him periodically throughout their relationship and she was pretty sure he enjoyed them.]</sub>

_{[She didn't even look at the guests, she just nodded. This was already tremendously awkward for her to be here so it would do for her to get it over with. She stepped over to the balcony, opening the door to the outside. When she turned to face him she said noting, but waited to be addressed.]}

[Spock shifted his shoulders in a show of nervousness... He had hoped that he conveyed properly what he was thinking to Nyota.]

He respected her, he wasn't motivated by his sex drive, he wanted to understand her mind and personality, not just her body... and then that jackass Jim Kirk just stole him away. Jim Kirk who was the epitome of what she hated in Earth's men. Arrogant, vapid, promiscuous, self serving, flaky, and unrepentant.

Spock was a gem and that bastard would dare to defile him? Jim Kirk... could he even show Spock the love HE deserved? Nyota had her doubts but when Spock made his choice what could she say? She had to let him go with dignity.]</sub>

This was all he could do... and he had a feeling that she knew that. From this point on, it would take time to establish their friendship... but he was sure that they would get there.
But then he tilted his head in confusion.]

Jim seems to be adjusting relatively well. So much has happened since we left the hospital... I am certain it will only get easier as time continues.

...overwhelmed. Jim truly is... very emotional. There are times when I do not know what to do.. or say. Then again... it has only been a day.

He is... but just be yourself. You don't have to be anything other than what comes naturally to you. And if Jim's not satisfied with that then... he doesn't deserve you.

But if you have a specific problem about it you know you can always come to me.

He would have embraced her... but perhaps that would be inappropriate at this time.]

Indeed... I may be coming to you for advice more often than you would like. [Spock gives her a small smirk... but then his face softened once more.]

Turning to open the door back into the main room, he addressed her once more.]

I asked him the same thing...Apparently he learned when he was quite young.

[And with that, they joined the rest of the crowd. Spock's last 'peace offering' was handing Nyota a drink... Her favourite.]
