K/S Hospital Scene bc Into Darkness was so K/S TASTIC

It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....

No. Bones was here nagging at him.

"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."

He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...

And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."

"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

Nah. I like to think he'd be eager to see me. I mean I haven't seen him in... at least sixteen years...

_{[he stared out at the stars then, wondering about his brother. What had changed? Why had he never come home? Did he ever marry or have kids? Sam would be approaching 30 now...]}

[Spock had been about to put more food in his mouth, but his spoon froze before it made it to its destination...
Lowering the utensil, Spock gives the question some consideration...]

I am uncertain. To say that I 'like' children would imply that I have a preference...
...where in all honesty I do not have enough experience with children to say one way or the other.
I am not adverse to them...

Do you enjoy children?
[Spock tilted his head in curiosity... where had Jim's inquiry come from?]

I guess I'm in the same boat. I haven't met too many but I like the ones I've met...

... most people want kids. I dunno what I want but I am pretty sure I want at least one... y'know... at some point.

[Spock regarded Jim for a long moment... his face burning with the blush.
He was glad that there was low lighting... otherwise it would be entirely too noticeable. He didn't know what to say...
...To have children with Jim? That would be...
..........that would be such an honour! To have a family.. he had never dreamed, never thought it would be possible. The Vulcan had resigned himself to solitary life if he could not have Jim...


Spock was too quiet.. staring at his lap.]

S'ok. We don't have to. That frees up more time to explore space anyway.

_{[No kids is fine, he isn't attached to the idea just yet...]}

[Spock looked up sharply...
Quickly, and with Vulcan agility, Spock leaned forward and removed Jim's food from his person... placing it a safe distance away. Darting in, he captured his Captain's lips... purring profusely.]

Jim...
To have children with you is to achieve a dream I never thought possible. Nothing would please me more than to have a family...

...with you T'hy'la.

_{[He blinked as Spock took his food away, then squeaked as he was kissed, but he melted into it. This time the purr didn't jolt him. It was kind of nice actually...]}

Yeah?...

That's good then... I think when we're older I'll really want them.

_{[He assumes they'll adopt one or two which is totally fine with him. Orphans need homes terribly. He'd be happy to give some his.]}

[Orphans? While that was a noble suggestion, Spock would ensure that they would have the real thing.
T'hy'la bond? Who could pass that up~ Spock still had a lot to tell Jim about their unique bond.

The Vulcan didn't reply... instead, he placed a few more chaste kisses to his mouth, then started to sit back on the blanket once more.
That was good, right?]

_{[Oh that was fine... as long as it was also fine that Jim was laying against you and stealing another kiss. Slower this time... and another... and another. He laid them down flat, cradling Spock's face. His hand trailed down his side to his hip. His hand slid up his shirt...]}

[Spock wasn't expecting Jim to follow his retreat... and was quite pleasantly surprised to be gasping into his T'hy'la's mouth as it connected with his own.
The Vulcan opened his lips to Jim... in invitation to explore further... allowing himself to lay down flat against the blankets and pillows.
He shivered at the skin contact and the cold of the open air.... but quickly warming under Jim's skillful fingers.

Spock's own hands traveled over Jim's back... carding through his hair... then tentatively trailing along the belt of Jim's pants.]

_{[He grabbed a blanket and tugged it over them, then looked into Spock's eyes]}

The food's good but I'm hungry for something a little more... vulcan.

_{[He kissed him softly, but with intent. He'd make passionate love to his fiance here on this roof under the starry night.]}

[Spock found that he enjoyed the rooftop quite a bit more with Jim.... fascinating. Quite some time later, they had found themselves back inside where they had continued exploring each other quite thoroughly... A pastime that Spock will never get tired of.

Feelings were always a rather interesting phenomenon to analyze for Spock, because as of yet still wasn't used to...well... most of them. However, now was a time where he wished he was a full Vulcan, a being with full mastery over emotions, because being wary and a tad nervous on the doorstep of your future mother in-law was not a pleasant sensation... That and the difference from having been blissful and lust-filled the night before had thrown him a wee bit.
This current predicament was the result of a rather quick conversation with the one and only Winona Kirk... the mother of his T'hy'la...
Visit? It didn't take much convincing because the two had found themselves on a transport to Iowa to the Kirk family farm...
The sun was shining, the birds were singing...
...however, there was an illogical dark cloud over the house of Kirk. Most Curious.
Spock looked over at his T'hy'la...]

Perhaps she is not home?

_{[The house was faded, in need of paint and the boards of the porch were as warped and weak as ever. Jim 'hmm'd at them as he knocked once more. A female voice groaned]}

It opens!

<sub>[He opened the door into a traditional country house. A bit messy and in need of some love but it had plenty of character. Polished wood staircase, prayer-themed phrases emblazoned on framed needle points, a kitchen full of rooster caricatures... and an aged blond woman with loosely waving hair. She had a striking similarity to a certain captain.]

[She smiled primly, not showing her teeth but she approached the man and hugged him tight.]

Oh Jim~ I was so worried about you.</sub>

[The Vulcan had seen pictures of Winona Kirk, but this is the first time he had ever seen her in person...
...he could see where Jim got his looks.

Spock witnessed the hug... He didn't know what to expect. Jim never really talked about his family... and from what he saw during the meld, he knew they had hard times.

The Vulcan waited until he was noticed.]

_{[Jim was warm and loving in his gesture but inside he was a bit hollow. He knew this was just show for his mom. Maybe she meant it deep down but he knew it was a matter of time before she withdrew.]}



I missed you. I heard about your... last adventure... Oh! And who is this?

_{[She looked at Spock. A vulcan? Huh...]}

I... I know you. You're Spock. _{[She looked to Jim]} You brought your first officer home?



Well yeah... kind of.

Only kind of?

Well. I brought him but not as my First... I... _{[He didn't get to finish. Winona saw Jim's ring and reached for his hand, giving her son an interrogating look.]}

Jim, what is this?

Oh you saw that... well... Spock's also my fiance now.

...._{[Winona's reaction was one they had both seen before in their youth. She wasn't impressed, in fact underneath her surprise? She rejected this. She was no comfortable. but she remained calm.]}



You're getting married? Well that's... great! Were you going to tell me?

Thanks. And... well it happened kind of fast. Just got discharged and all...

Right, right... how are you feeling?

Fine. I'm fine...

[spohkh]

[Spock stiffened... There was something off-putting about Mrs. Kirk.
However, he did not let it show on his Vulcan features. Instead, he bowed his head...]

Missus Kirk... it is well to make your acquaintance in person. It is an honour to be welcomed into your home.

[Now more than ever did Spock wish he had a mental bond with Jim... it would be a comfort, and a way to communicate. Spock was a little out of his depth at the moment...
...but he could tell that there was something wrong with his T'hy'la, and he wanted desperately to reach out and comfort him.]

_{[She nodded, pursing her lips. She looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here. Her eyes... they were dulled.]}

Yeah... I'm glad you came... oh! Silly me, I'm so sorry, can I get you two anything?

_{[Jim needed a drink to be under this roof, even if he didn't sleep here]}

Hey can I show Spock the house?

Awesome. _{[He took Spock by the hand up the stairs]} Want to see my room?

[Spock had opened his mouth to say something else, his eyebrows creased in concerned before he was whisked away upstairs by Jim...

Once alone, Spock tightened his hold in Jim's hand...]

...your mother does not seem to...

[Spock was trying to be diplomatic.]

_{[He stepped into his old bedroom, unchanged from how he left it other than it was cleaned. Double bed, dark blue comforter, the walls were completely obscured by posters of various vehicles. Old hot rods, motorcycles, space crafts, a few scantily clad women... Jim stepped in, then flopped on the bed, spread eagle. He patted the area at his hip]}

Mom's got nothing against you. She can't get close to anyone after our dad died. If anything you scare her because she might have to give a shit about something for a little while.

[Spock was silent as he processed that information...]

Curious..

[The Vulcan stepped forward... not only sitting by Jim's hip, but crawling over his T'hy'la so that he was straddled across those hips.]

However... I find I am more concerned by the effect this visit is having on you... You are very obviously troubled T'hy'la.

_{[He smiled coyly as Spock straddled him, his hands rested on the vulcans hips]}

I'm alright... Mom is... _{[He sighed]} she's hard to deal with.

But she's my mother, what are you gonna do? _{[He shrugged]}

She doesn't like us together she can kiss my ass. Not like she's ever been around anyway.

[Spock tilts his head as he regards Jim...]

What I can do is make certain that you know you are loved.

[Simple mathematics... Jim's mom is being difficult and doesn't give him enough support. Spock loves Jim, and will be his support.
Makes sense.

[Spock stiffened... then quickly jumped off of his T'hy'la... looking slightly like a deer caught in head lights.
He was attempting to straighten himself out.... trying to maintain the stoic facade.]

Negative Missus Kirk... we shall be down shortly.

_{[He sighed, clearly disappointed. It was just getting good too...]}
