It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....

No. Bones was here nagging at him.

"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."

He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...

And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."

"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

_{[Jim hummed, either unconvinced or just amused. He met Spock in the middle, taking that kiss with pleasure.]}

You know I'm not going to take that as an excuse much longer. I'm starting to think that's just how you opt out of trying to understand me being human.

Jim was incorrect... Spock did understand, he was simply avoiding the conversation. Was it prolonging the pain? Negative.
Spock merely did not desire to 'ruin the moment'.

The Vulcan carded his fingers through Jim's hair... every now and again swiping a thumb or finger across his temple, shuddering at the stimulating contact. His mouth went slack in invitation.

His mind could not be stopped though, a thousand questions whirling around in his head.... he was contemplating too many things to be truly in the moment. Should he tell Jim that he had seen his father? But then he would be required to tell Jim what his father had said... Part of him believed that Jim was not ready for that. He predicted a negative response as opposed to a positive one... and it may even cause a rift between them. No... first, they had to have complete trust in each other.
When would that be?

Spock wasn't sure... On the other hand, it would include Jim completely letting go. To be able to leap off the edge and trust that Spock will catch him at the bottom... as opposed to Jim's current behaviour of leaping without looking... and not expecting anything good at the end.]

There was a hard suck on the top few inches of Spock. Jim was almost teasing his way down. Right now his focus was on the head, licking into the slit, swirling his tongue around the tip. His hands squeezed hard on the base, caressing slowly. You were good to him last night with this... allow him to give his thanks.]}

[Spock only hopes that Jim does not feel obligated to please him just because he feels that he was 'good' to him.
The Vulcan catches on his breath as his head falls back in pleasure. His hands still only for a moment as his brain seems to reboot... sending sparks all over his body at Jim's ministrations.

[He looked into his eyes, taking in the love in his expression. He'd seen that look before on other partners and normally it unnerved him. He wasn't comfortable with getting too close to anyone. Spock was even more intense in this desire than the others. He wanted all of Jim. Granted he seemed to be someone who would love him unconditionally. Jim looked at him with uncertainty, awe, and eventually trust.
