It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....

No. Bones was here nagging at him.

"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."

He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...

And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."

<sub>[Jim was nearly overwhelmed by Spock's variety of experience when it came to loving him. Images of him, his mental signature, the star system, their bond.

Spock carded his fingers through Jim's hair, encouraging him to relax. For a human, Jim was doing exceptionally well, given the fact that this was a T'hy'la bond. It's strength should have done something to Jim by this point, and Spock saw that it was starting to catch up on him.

What was this about? Was he getting sick? He felt like he was about to get a hangover headache or something. The room was spinning a bit but he managed to focus his way through the bathing process. As he headed back to his room, and Spock, the issue subsided, almost as if it dissipated by crossing the threshold. As soon as he was close to Spock again he felt fine.]}

[Spock found himself in thought as Jim went to take a shower. Was this truly real? Logic dictated that it was, and that in itself left Spock breathless.
However, this curious sensation came over the Vulcan soon after Jim left the room... was Jim not feeling well? Spock soon waved it off to tiredness.... he could always analyze it later.

When Jim entered the room again however, Spock found himself plastered to Jim, strong arms wrapped around his clean form, head buried in his neck to breath in his fresh scent. It was intoxicating... and Spock was purring. The primal part of his brain triggered a chemical reaction upon seeing his new bondmate... and he wanted nothing more than to prove to his mate how worthy a partner he was by carrying back to bed.
