K/S Hospital Scene bc Into Darkness was so K/S TASTIC
It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....
No. Bones was here nagging at him.
"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."
He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...
And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."
"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

[Spock thought about Jim's expression after he found out how many of his crew members had died...
...he never wanted to see that expression on Jim's face again. Unfortunately, it was likely to happen again, especially once they were sent out on their five year mission.]
no subject
[She nodded and got up, flipping through the replicator menu. She made up some eggs and toast, then some coffee]
You drink coffee at all, Spock?
[Jim roused a bit from the smell and the talking. Not to mention he was very ready to get up. He'd laid prone long enough.]
Mnn?
Well good morning sweet pea.
[Jim groaned at the name. He took a deep breath and stretched in the bed. Winona reached forward]
No no no, don't stress your chest, sweetheart.
Wha? But....[He sighed, clearly frustrated.]
How long have you been here?
Hmph, morning to you too.
Morning... [He looked to Spock.]
Morning beautiful~
no subject
Jim, you are a flirt. Spock kept his face neutral, but an eyebrow went up slightly to indicate his exasperation.]
Jim... it would seem that you are getting quite comfortable with the bond...
[Spock's exasperation trickled through the bond... but also his love...]
Your mother is correct Jim... it would be best if you refrained from moving too much for the time being. You were kicked by a horse after all.
no subject
Right up until it's something, son. Hold still.
[Jim sighed, but replied to Spock.]
I'm starting to like it a lot. When I get out of here we should get on with the next step.
[Why would you be exasperated? He only wants to tell you how pretty you are and how much he loves your ears~ You love it and you love him, don't lie.]
Here, eat. [Winona brought Jim some eggs, toast, coffee, and a little cinnamon roll.]
Spock and I were talking. I think it's a good idea if you two stayed with me for a while after you get out of here.
At the farm? How long are we talking?
Well as long as it takes for this bond thing to settle. If you're going to be incapacitated from it and planning a wedding before you go back to space then you're going to need some help. Not only that but after you get discharged someone has to make sure you don't hurt yourself again.
Right-- the wedding, we haven't evens started on that...
Don't worry. I'll help you.
Eh?
You forget I planned and had a wedding of my own, Jim. Two actually.
no subject
Actually... he should inform Sarek of their bonding, unless he is already aware. His father did have a curious ability to know what was going on...
...and T'Pau....
....that was another matter entirely. Spock wondering what his clan mother would do if she found out her grandson, and the heir to the house of Surak will do in response. There's not many clan members left... of any clans for that matter...
....but Vulcans were still holding dear to their traditions regardless.
Spock turns to Winona...]
Perhaps it would be wise for you to speak with my father. There are certain Vulcan traditions that need to be adhered to...
...Unless you wish to have a completely human ceremony Ashaya. [Spock had turned to Jim...
Seriously, Spock didn't mind either way. Ceremonies were after thoughts... the real event was the bond. And that was a party of two.]
no subject
Well it's for you two to decide. Don't think I'll invade unwanted.
No it's fine mom. We just never talked about it. We still have to tell your dad... there's a lot to think about
no subject
[That's for certain. The only other female he could think of that would help is Nyota...
....but that would be tactless of him to ask her.
See Jim? He's getting along with your mother.]
no subject
Let's call your dad today. He needs to know soon. I really don't want to piss him off.
Do you two want some time alone for that?
You don't have to. You're going to meet eventually right? You might as well stay here, we'll make it a conference call.
It's up to you two. I think it's a little too soon to be deciding about the wedding.
No he just needs to know we bonded.
Well I'll leave you to it then. But I think you should eat some breakfast first, Jim. Aren't you getting a bit ahead of yourself?
Ah... maybe.
How about I make you both something and we can brainstorm about what happens today, tomorrow, and maybe even when you get home. One day at a time, son.
no subject
Indeed, Jim. There is no rush. We can speak with my father when we arrive back at your home.
[Spock looks at Winona.]
Do you require help with breakfast?
[He likes to help... but he can't cook for beans.]
no subject
[Jim relaxes under Spock's touch, enjoying his soft caress. Was it only ten days they'd been together? Jim had ached for Spock to even notice him before Khan. So many nights he had laid awake on Enterprise thinking about him and telling himself he could never let Spock know how he felt and cursing himself for falling in love with the one man he could never have.
And now he did. Spock was doting on him and he wanted it to go on forever.]
[He felt a bit betrayed at the idea Spock would leave to help his mother. He was so content here with Spock holding his hand. Don't go, oh please stay here with him. He feels so much better when he's close by.]
Hm? I can use a replicator just fine, Spock. Thank you though.
[Winona could tell Jim was more comfortable with Spock at his side.
no subject
As soon as they are alone, the Vulcan leans down to capture those lips...]
Ashaya, I am here. I was only being polite to your mother. Wani ro yani ra Aisha....
[Spock breath hitches as he continues to caress Jim's fingers, and place gentle kisses to those lips.]
no subject
[He squeezed Spock's hand and kissed back eagerly. He raised his hand to pet Spock's hair back and keep him close. He kissed him greedily as though Spock were water and he was parched]
no subject
[Spock was definitely amused... but he didn't disengage from the kiss.... allowing Jim to end it when he wanted to.]
that's silly. If Jim stopped kissing when he wanted they'd never stop
I like it when you call me that name. Maybe we can talk her into going home early tonight.
[he kissed Spock one more time then laid back in his pillows just in time for his mother to return with food. Breakfast was served and Jim ate like a marine, finishing in under five minutes. Winona regarded Spock ]
Spock you've got to be exhausted. Do you need to go bond for a while? I'll sit with Jim today. I'll switch with you at night.
If Jim *wanted* to stop kissing, surely the world would end. :p
He was quite pleased to see Jim eat so vigorously... it meant that he was getting better.
Oh.... leave Jim?
Spock looked between Jim then Winona... Was he intruding? Was he allowed to say he didn't want to leave? He's not that tired, especially after the satisfactory sleep he had with Jim last night.]
[Spock opened the bond... asking Jim what 'he' wanted to do...]
in a fire ball
Ah I don't think Spock should leave me for a while mom. My head gets fuzzy...
Oh right you did say that...
Sorry
No it's fine. We'll all just hang here together.
You two might as well get to know each other. I didn't sleep well last night.I think I'm gonna take a nap soon. We can talk about whatever until then.
It's okay. Go on and sleep Baked Alaska.
no subject
Baked Alaska?
[The Vulcan takes his seat. For now he is quite content to spend his time with Winona...
...considering how he first met her, its amazing how far they have come. In all honesty, he's still not quite comfortable with her...
...but he's as comfortable with her as he is with various acquaintances.]
no subject
no subject
Well.... you are sweet Ashaya.
[Spock looks entirely too amused as he regards the two humans.]
Go to sleep Jim, we will be here.
When we have an opportunity to talk to McCoy, I will attempt to convince him that we can take care of you at home.
we should time skip to Jim waking up in his bed at the farm
sounds good~ I wish my brother's ipad liked aim...
Strangely, Spock felt... oddly at home here. Winona was always bustling about, taking care of the house. It was something his mother always did and it felt...
...familiar. Comfortable.
For now, Spock sat in the middle of Jim's bedroom floor, meditating as Jim slept away.... waiting for him to wake up.]
Meh, it's w/e. Sorry for that super short tag, I know it's a sin but I will call it 'economical'
[Well Jim was certainly a touch confused when he woke up but it quickly gave way to relief. Obviously there was some strong-arming involved with releasing him to his house, or Bones really wanted to go back to San Fran. He looked around, seeing Spock meditating... he couldn't help it. He wanted to sneak up on him, maybe hug or kiss him from behind. He'd fantasized about that when he was still pining for Spock never thinking he'd have him for himself.
But he barely got to sit up before his chest made abundantly clear that he wasn't going anywhere. His muscles were tense and threatened severe pain if he attempted to raise off this bed. Jim obediently laid back down, having learned his lesson from his trip to the hospital. Instead he rolled over onto his front, a touch uncomfortable for his chest but hardly unbearable. He reached a hand out to touch one of Spock's ears.]
Spock.... Spoooooock.
[Pay attention to him. :( ]
<3
Ashaya, you are incorrigible.
[Opening his eyes, Spock regards Jim with a loving fondness.] It is good to see you awake Jim. How do you feel?
[The Vulcan stands, and goes to sit on the edge of Jim's bed.]
no subject
So nice of you to notice. [He reached for Spock's hand when he sat.]
A lot better now, thanks.
I can't sit up though... did Bones say how long I'm supposed to be bedridden?
no subject
[Spock lightly held Jim's hand... regarding his mate.
His mate... It was still an amazing revelation.]
Ashaya... I believe it would be wise of us to stay here until the bond is complete. Are you amenable to this?
