K/S Hospital Scene bc Into Darkness was so K/S TASTIC
It was so sudden. He woke up with a flash, bright lights, soft sounds, a bed, he was alive?? But he'd died in the chamber...in engineering. Spock and he had exchanged that vulcan hand-thing whatever the hell it was. He'd died, he was dead. Was this heaven? Holy....
No. Bones was here nagging at him.
"Oh don't be so melodramatic, you were barely dead. You've been out cold for two weeks."
He was so...taken aback. What had happened? He just remembered being in the locked chamber watching Spock shed tears, glimmering tears of anguish as he slowly died of radiation poisoning... his heart lurched at the memory. He didn't know the vulcan was even capable...
And then Spock was in the room, approaching him. Suddenly... everything else was forgotten. Hell even Bones was gone in his mind, though he could hear the doctor put in a "You know Uhura and I had something to do with it too."
"....Thanks, Spock... for saving my life..."

Relax is all I've done. I just... lay here all day. What day is it anyhow?... Any word about the crew? About the ship?
...[His brain shorted out then, reverting back to thinking about nothing in particular. Jim was trying to focus on too many things at once and his mind simply dropped the subjects. He doesn't remember he was even talking about them.]
no subject
He was, for the most part.... and Jim seemed to be taking the changes well considering.]
Jim... How are you Ashaya?
no subject
I feel ok I guess... I'm not... myself. I can't even really figure out what I'm missing. I used to think of so many things at once... now it's like... I can't hold onto anything, maybe one train of thought and that's it...sometimes I can't even form words...
...don't think of me as dumb...ok? I know I am but...
no subject
I could never think of you as 'dumb' K'diwa. And this is just a side-effect... you will not be like this forever.
[Another kiss to the neck.]
no subject
we can't play chess anymore. You'd know all my moves. But you can block me, I can't see your mind completely... or am I just... not strong enough to yet?
[He sighed into Spock's kiss. It was the best medicine.]
no subject
...I have ever confidence that you can learn how to shield as well.
[Spock massaged Jim's scalp.]
I would allow you to see into my mind constantly, however, right now I believe that it would be too much for you. I am sorry.
no subject
[He closed his eyes and relaxed in Spock's spoiling hands. He was truly in the lap of luxury. Uhura, eat your heart out.]
[But he was bored. Horribly bored with no real way to pay attention long enough to do anything on his own. He couldn't even read, his mind just dropped words like a stone. It shorted out or he just wasn't able to digest certain words. A big kick to the ego that is. He wonders if Spock might indulge him with something, anything. Talk to him... tell him a story... tell him about weddings on vulcan. Anything.]
no subject
Do you wish for me to read to you? Do you wish to hear from anything in particular?
[He heard those thoughts... and he felt bad for Jim. He couldn't imagine having to spend that much time in bed feeling useless.]
no subject
[He feels even more useless needing someone to read to him like a child. But he couldn't do it himself... he gestures to a book at his bedside table. Brave New World. Would Spock read that? He'd.. be happy then. They'd read it together sort of...]
no subject
A Brave New World... interesting, I have not read this.
[The Vulcan continues to spoon himself against Jim, holding the book out in front of them both so Jim could follow along if he wanted.]
"A squat grey building of only thirty-four stories. Over the main entrance the words, 'Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Center, and, in a shield, the World State's motto, 'community, Identity, Stability. The enormous room on the ground floor faced towards the north. cold for all the summer beyond the panes, for all the tropical heat of the room itself, a harsh thing light glared through the windows...."
[The Vulcan read for hours... content to read to Jim for as long as he wanted.]

They went so deep that eventually they were sitting on the rock overlooking the city of Shi'khar. Spock was sitting behind Jim... holding him close as Spock breathed the desert air deeply.]
Welcome Ashaya.
no subject
Where are we?... This looks like...
but it was destroyed... where... is this?
no subject
You are looking at my projection of the city of Shi'khar.... and we're sitting on the mountains of Ma-Laya.
Do you like it?
[Spock hugged Jim tight... enjoying the feel.]
no subject
wow.
This is where you grew up? Where's your house? Where's your school?
[He was pleased by the hug, he put a hand over Spock's arm.]
no subject
You wish to see Ashaya? Very well.
[Still holding onto Jim, the image around them shifted until they were sitting on what looked like a living-room floor.]
This is my home.
[It was simply designed... but it had human influences. You could tell that Amanda had a lot to do with the decorating. A portrait hung above the mantel place... a stern looking Vulcan man.... a beautiful young human woman... and a very young Spock.]
no subject
It's a palace... did you like it here? Can I see your room?
Awww look at your mom in that painting, she's gorgeous. Aww is that you? [Jim tugged away from Spock, wanting to see it up close]
You're so cute~
no subject
It is indeed.
[The Vulcan stood and looked around. The edges of the room were hazy, but as soon as he looked them over, the image solidified.]
My room is this way.
[He walked down a narrow corridor to another small connecting building. This was his room... his hide-away when he was a youth.]
no subject
[Jim followed eagerly, seeing as Spock's focus determined what was visible and its relative clarity compared to other parts of the room. Spock was having to focus on his memories to bring every detail to life, wasn't he? It must be exhausting.
But once in his room, Jim looked around...smiled... and flopped on his bed.]
It's nice in here... c'mere.
no subject
The Vulcan smiles and sits down next to Jim on the bed.]
You are favouring one bed over another Ashaya?
no subject
[He sat up... then crawled over and laid his head in Spock's lap.]
no subject
In the physical world, we are laying in a bed together, in your room.
no subject
Hey, since I can move around freely in here... [He doesn't finish that sentence as he pushes his love on his back. Jim is sitting to Spock's side but he lays across him and props himself up on his elbow, planted at Spocks side. He pets his husband's hair back.]
I could do anything to you in here...
