Spock feels himself start to sink without Jim there, but he quickly pulls himself up. For a moment he feels as though he is simply flailing his limbs in the water in an uncoordinated mass... but he starts to find a rhythm. Not as elegantly as he would like, Spock makes it over to Jim, fully expecting to be rewarded.
