[Spock listened with growing interest... Winona played chess? Wait.. ...she sounded exactly like Jim.
Most curious.
Oh... human? Spock considers that for a moment.]
It is interesting how certain events can change your perspective on certain things. If you had asked me the same question before my mother died, I would have said no...and would have taken insult to the question. to be human is to be weak and emotional. And while Vulcans would never admit to thinking like that... it is nevertheless true. On the other hand, I cannot deny the half that is human... to do so is illogical. Since my mother's death I have been attempting to connect with the half of me that is all I have left of her. To say that I am human now would not give her justice.
A rather interesting perspective change, yes?
[Spock is silent for a moment...as if remembering something.] As a youth I learned how to play the Vulcan lyre... a string instrument much like Earth's guitar or cello. I had learned to enjoy the music it produces... however my mother was always fond of Earth music, and played it often while my father was away on business. To an extent I have an appreciation for most all music... I do not think I can pick a favourite.
Jim though... he sang once. If I was only to be able to listen to one type of music for the rest of my life, it would be his voice.
