Thank you for the tea. It was rather more palatable than the replicated tea on the Enterprise. [A very small, very subtle smile plays on Spock's features as he turned to go upstairs.
After shutting the door to their room, Spock makes himself comfortable on the floor... lighting a small candle in front of him. Taking deep, even breaths he begins to center himself.
This is a rather difficult task....For his entire life he, like all Vulcans, used the planet Vulcan as a means of meditative centering. Now that it was no longer there, the remaining Vulcans have started to use the new colony as their focus. But that place has never been a home for Spock... and neither has Earth. Lately he has been using the Enterprise... but it was not sufficient. Instead he pictured a golden sun whose shining rays gives life to everything it touches. Breathing slowly, Spock loses himself in waters so deep and so blue, warm and surrounding him in a comforting manner, that he never wishes to leave. There is a voice that says his name, and it is the only one he wants to hear... Spock realizes that there is nothing that he would not do for the human that has touched his life so thoroughly. He would help guard and protect that beautiful creature even if it meant protecting him from Spock... Spock thought of his mother and all of the emotions that she projected. As a Vulcan he had categorized every single one of them and it was only now that he decided to pull them out and analyze them. He was willing to learn this new language, no matter what it took. The Vulcan centers himself on the one being that he has ever considered home.
